Well, it’s the summertime here at SHoE, & that means several things, including a lot less traffic here at the site due to a certain lack of news regarding Smallville & Superman goings on. We’re going to be bringing you random posts over the summer to keep some interest alive, keep you smiling, & keep you coming back for more. They may not always be comic related, but they’re definitely something that we enjoyed and felt like sharing with you.
One thing I’ve been watching over the past few weeks over at Flickr is the troopies365 project. Project365 is where you take an image, every day, for a year - and in this instance it’s LEGO Star Wars Stormtrooper figures in amazing situations. We enjoy keeping an eye on it, and hopefully you will too. Check it out here.

Filming of Street Fighter is taking place in Tibet, where Kristin has been the past four months, preparing for the role, explaining her departure from Smallville after “Veritas”.

Warner Home Video has announced a release date for the seventh season DVD set of Smallville. This will be made available September 9th, 2008 and you can pick up a copy with the ease of the SHoE website. Clicking the banner up above will get you to the standard definition version via our associate Amazon.com where you can make the 6-disc set your own for only $41.99 - or click here to pick up your set on BluRay 3-disc at a great price of $55.95
Both sets will include 2 featurettes (Jimmy and Kara) and the “Chronicles of Kara” Sprint mobisodes. No mention has been made of deleted scenes or audio commentaries, but we’re holding out hope. Purchasing through SHoE supports this site so give it a whirl. Typically season 8 begins one to two weeks after the release of a previous season set, so look for season 8 to premiere on or around September 18th or 25th! Also, as of this posting, pre-orders have resumed on Amazon - so go support SHoE!

Season seven has now come to a close, and was one of the biggest (if not short-lived) seasons in Smallville
history. There’s all kinds of discussions about Veritas, the Traveler, the “Omegaheddron”, Michael Rosenbaum’s farewell performance, and “Arctic” in general over at our forums so why not jump in now and get the ball rolling on your thoughts for season 8, which will premiere late September on the CW.
In the mean time, don’t forget you can pick up your season 7 DVD’s on standard definition and BluRay that will release just in time for the 8th season in mid-September, with 20 episodes, deleted scenes, documentaries, and episode commentary. Also, your order will help support this site so it’s win-win!

Tonight at 8PM on The CW, don’t miss the Smallville Season 7 Finale, “Arctic”! It’s safe to say that after this episode Smallville will never be the same. Lex has unlocked the secret of Veritas, and finds himself face to face with the Traveler! This should be a unforgettable final performance form Michael Rosenbaum.
After the episode make sure to post your reactions on the finale in the forums. If you find that the site has become unavailable, please bare with us, as we are expecting a high volume of traffic, since the site usually crashes on finale night.
