iam confused they bring back Green Arrow and the Justice League but not Kara that is stupid i think now Clark has no family anymore i will be surprised if he even looks for her at this point, Supergirl has her fans to you know i like Superman and Smallville but i allways had a soft spot for gis Kryptonian cousin, iam hopeing she will return next season at some point it is dissrespect to her fans and Laura Vandervoort to just leave her charater in the pz.

I just wanted to make something very clear, as my message might have been lost before. I love it when the two of you bicker. I think it’s some of the funniest rhetoric I’ve ever heard. But it’s understood that the two of you are messing around. This episode, however, had a completely different vibe. It wasn’t jokingly taking shots at each other but genuine displeasure with the other. And that’s what made me sad. What made me even more sad was that rather than work out the problem off the air you subjected your listeners to the same depressing state of affairs.

I have been listening to Starkville since Zod eps. And I think that you two make me laugh so hard sometimes. I really don’t know if you two are having fun or are you two really mad at each other sometimes. But whatever the case maybe, it’s fun to listen to. I also agree with Dave, by duke it out in superman style. I’ve seen Grand Theft auto: Superman. Go for it!

i like Green Arrow and all but i want Kara back more shes Clarks family and now he has none next season, i think they kinda screwed Laura in a way iam sure she was looking forward to playing Kara in season 8 and exploring her charater, maybe Kara will return after Lana leaves i hope so i like KK but Lana has held Clark back in a way, i hope cw realizes the mistake of not bringing Kara back and fix it.

Well don’t forget that the Queens were involved in the Veritas group. Oliver’s past might relate to that, and could continue the story from the later part of Season 7, so it might not be so disconnected from Clark’s story.

I think this is a great idea, and it will work well. I think the other part of this, is they could spin it off. Where as Supergirl while possible to spinoff, is not as popular. Besides that LV being gone for at least part of the season was storyline dictated and the studio just decided to not write her back in, yet. I would be surprised if they have her come back for a special guest spot for an episode or two.

I was excited to hear that JH’s Green Arrow will be a series regular when I first heard of it. Then, when I heard that his story arc will revolve around his past, it made me think. Smallville is about Clark and this path to becoming Superman that we all know and love…And read somewhere that was the reason behind not bringing LV back as Kara as a series regular. So, if thats the case, then by bring JH back as a series regular and focus the story arc around Green Arrows past? As much as I enjoy seeing Green Arrow on the show, I much prefer seeing Kara back and watch the growing dynamics from Clark and Kara. I like the fact that Green Arrow will be back but if they wanted to focus on his past, it would of been much better if the network just did a Green Arrow spin off and dedicated the entire show on Green Arrow. Just my personal opinion but I think the whole idea of centering Green Arrows story arc on Smallville around him is a slippery slope.

Thank you so much for your feedback to my email. That definitely cleared things up for me. I guess since it appeared to me that the prism was coming out of the Phantom Zone towards Earth made me think that Kara had been released.

I have to say even though you’re looking at the shortest season in the series’ history and because of the writer’s strike even I thought the series would end after year seven but because of the series will love on. Probably because the CW losing viewers and since they want to keep a large portion of their demographic for Thursdays they kept Smallville on. In any event I’m glad that this series’ is continuing albeit for one more year. This season would be if there was a title for this season very much like season four a season of leaving what you were behind and going towards being not a teenage adult but an adult for better or worse. All the main stay characters go through that. And by the end of the season we know Season Eight will most likely be like a Greatest Hits year. In closing though it is going to be odd. No Michael Rosenbaum, No John Glover, and most importantly no Miles and Al. But for my money this season is one of my top three favorite seasons.

Doomsday…. I really hope not. And if they do a new female villan it wouldn’t be Lori LeMaris… she’s one of Clark’s girlfriends (and a mermaid) in the comics.

He’s leaving after this season, but the words from the production staff basically indicate he could have guest appearances as Lex, but he’s not signed on to be a series regular like he is now.

Michael Rosenbaum IN the eighth season or not?

The statement indicates he’s leaving IN the seventh season but the news item says he’s leaving in the eighth.

I don’t understand. If season 8 is the last series, isn’t everyone leaving in the end. Wouldn’t the news be Rosenbaum is leaving in episode 4 or something?

Amen to the review! All I have seen on the forums is that this episode was too far-fetched and stupid, but this had great qualities throughout. Jimmy was funny, Chloe was smart, Clark and Lex had moving story lines that advanced the season arch’s. Very awesome episode and great review angellwings.

I didn’t like any of the JChloe stuff but I did like how that set up Jimmy owing Lex a favor. I’m sure that will come into play in a big way later on. Also being a Back To The Future fanatic, the time travel stuff has got me intrigued to see what happens next with Brainiac/Clark/Kara. Not the best of the season but there were things to like about it.

I don’t know if I could have been more disappointed with tonight’s episode. For me, it was bad enough that it actually crossed my mind that I shouldn’t watch anymore. Who am I kidding, right? It did remind me of that other really lame late season episode that was also Jimmy / Chloe centric from last year. Oh, you remember… the film noir black and white one? I love both of the actors, but the shows that focus on that couple or their relationship tend to be the most poorly written and delivered of the season.

In regards to the whole Glasses debate with SV, I thought it was kind of funny that in “Action”, Lex is NOT fooled by Lois’ undercover wardrobe that included her wearing glasses. I’d have a hard time buying that Lex would be fooled by Clark wearing glasses in the future, distinguishing himself from Superman.

I love villains and “Descent” was definitely worth the hype. I, like, you all, am glad that they took their time with Lex’s story and stretching it out, instead of cramming it all into “Veritas”.

I was hoping Gina would be Mercy, too. “Gina” just wasn’t a name that fit her, in my opinion.

Loved all your thoughts and enthusiasm about the greatness that was the “Descent” episode! Seeing you guys interact in the video was a lot of fun to watch :)

YEAH! SHOE2 is back! That was an unexpected-yet welcomed-surprise. I love Onyx, In fact I was watching that episode the other day after seeing the Descent Director’s Cut thinking that we would see the bad Lex come out again.

You guys should do commentaries on episodes like…. Perry, or Crusade, or maybe Justice… or even BLANK. Anyway, great episode guys!

Found out about you guys from the season 6 DVD, and just now put you on my iPod..you two have gained a new fan, just to let you know. Though I have to admit, I really shouldn’t of had listened to your Sterek podcast while in public since there were times I was literally laughing out loud and I was getting very odd stares! I also wanted to say that it’s great to hear other people’s perspectives on certain issues such as the ’ships and episodes, since I am the only Smallville fan in my family or circle of friends. Just wanted to thank you guys for making me laugh through a very stressful week full of final exams. Hope to listen to you guys again soon.
