It all comes down to this! Tomorrow – Sunday, July 25th at 10am PST, the Smallville cast and crew will take the stage at San Diego Comic Con to bring us our first look at season ten, answer fan questions, and share some big surprises for the final season.
We’ve got three ways you can join in on this momentous occasion, as SHoE crew members Joe, Kim, and Brian will be in attendance and in the press junket this year.
Check out after the jump how to have up to the minute information from the Smallville panel!
Every April here at SHoE, we recognize Autism Awareness Month in a special way, by raising donations in the name of one of our own. Kim Jordan and her family are one of the many trying to raise awareness of autism. Kim and her son Ethan participate and support the Walk Now for Autism Speaks each year.
You can have a special part in this! SHoE’s goal for Team Jordan is $2,000.00 & we’re already more than 1/4 of the way there! Just visit Charity.SmallvillePodcast.com & donate to Kim’s cause. If you can’t help monetarily, please help us spread the word about her walk & her page so that we can reach as many people as possible with her message. We know times are tough, but if you can give it’s greatly appreciated. If every listener of SHoE just donated $20 we’d be well over $1million! All we’re asking for is $2,000 though, which is extremely attainable.
For SHoE listeners we’re offering something special: if you donate $50.00 or more to Team Jordan, make sure you mention SHoE somewhere in the checkout process, then email us a copy of your receipt to mail@smallvillepodcast.com and you will receive 4 free Starkville’s House of El stickers! So what’re you waiting for, it’s win-win! $150.00 or more will get you a 2011 Smallville calendar and stickers, and $250.00 or more will get you a Clark Kent and Green Arrow Smallville action figure set and stickers.
Help out SHoE and Team Jordan now by visiting Charity.SmallvillePodcast.com and donating to help the cause and increasing awareness of Autism.
Last week Michael Rosenbaum mentioned to his Twitter followers that he had “lots of good news coming soon…I’m not allowed to say something…”, which quickly led to a flood of replies from fans, hoping for the return of Lex Luthor in season 10 of Smallville.
Rosenbaum quickly replied, as to not lead anyone on: “It’s not Smallville related, I’ve already stated that I’m not returning, I’d never lead you guys on like that, I appreciate your support.”
Since that time, news of Michael’s new project has surfaced and we think it’s something that every Smallville fan can be happy about. Michael is developing a single-camera comedy for the SyFy Network called “Saved by Zeroes” in which he and Jonathan Silverman play actors still doing the convention circuit long after their show has been canned. Rosenbaum described the pilot as “Galaxy Quest” meets HBO’s “Eastbound and Down”. While we of course miss Michael on the show, it’s great to hear about this slightly tonuge-in-cheek project, and we’re very happy with the prospect of seeing him weekly on television again real soon.
It’s no real spoiler now that real life couple Michael McKean and Annette O’Toole (aka Smallville’s Perry White and Martha Kent) are returning this season for the penulimate episode, “Hostage”. File this under ‘old news’, but all last week Michael was on the set tweeting updates on his account. Like a pro, he gave out no real spoilers about the episode but he did share some real gems with the Smallville fandom in way of pictures.
Below are three of the eight pictures Michael captured and tweeted out to his followers, so we thought we’d put them here to share with you guys as well. Enjoy!
We were linked to this on Twitter via @hollywoodgirl05 who created this video based on audio from an old, old episode of SHoE. Some of us had forgotten about it that work on the site and we thought it would be a great thing to put up for new and old listeners alike. Thanks for the laugh Taryn!
With tomorrow’s premiere of Smallville so close, we are reaching out to everyone with Twitter accounts to help us make #kneelbeforezod a trending topic.
Prior to last week’s premiere of Supernatural, fans bombarded Twitter with the hashtag #luciferiscoming, which was noticed by celebrities, media outlets, and hundreds of thousands of Twitter users. We are anxious to replicate this and create as much buzz as we can for the return of our beloved Smallville. As you are well aware, Smallville is an aging show entering its 9th season. It’s been hidden away into the abyss of Friday nights, and its ratings were slipping gradually last year.
Starting today, if you are a Twitter user, be sure to include #kneelbeforezod in as many tweets as you can. If we can get it into the trending topics on September 25, the day of the premiere, I think we can pump some new blood into the show. Let’s show the Smallville universe just how excited we are to have our show back!!
If you are not already, follow SHoE on Twitter here.
