Kneel before Zod.
That’s right everyone, Geoff Johns’ epic project that started with ‘Society’, then became a two part episode with ‘Legends’, and most recently, a full blown 2 hour movie event has an official name. Entertainment Weekly is reporting that the movie will be titled ‘Absolute Justice’ and will air on February 5 instead of January 29. EW is also reporting that the movie will only feature one set of credits, as not to interrupt the flow of the event. The main reason for the name change appears to be for marketing reasons, but I think it might be a good idea as it helps to solidify the fact that these episodes have been combined into a movie.

THE “WONDER TWINS” SHOW UP TO HELP CLARK CLEAN UP METROPOLIS — Superhero twins Zan (David Gallagher) & Jayna (Allison Scagliotti) show up in Metropolis to help The Blur fight crime but end up botching several rescues, landing Clark in hot water with the District Attorney’s office. Clark decides to come forward as the Blur to clear his name.

Fans have been clammoring for another extended episode of Smallville since May 2004, and in a few short months, that time will come. Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello reported this morning that the January episodes of “Society” and “Legends” will now be combined as a two hour long TV-Movie event that will air on January 29, 2010.
Both episodes are written by DC Comics favorite Geoff Johns (directed by Glenn Winter and Tom Welling) but it’s unclear at this time if the episodes will just air as two separate installments (9×11 & 9×12) back to back, or if they will be edited together with “Part 1″ and “Part 2″ credits rolling in the opening minutes. More news as it becomes available!
