The CW has announced all its season finale dates for all its shows today and has thus announced the season finale date for Smallville to be May 15, 2008.
So, mark your calendars!
Next week is a new episode of Smallville and that means an exclusive director’s cut has been placed on CW’s website. This clip features the reunion of Pete Ross and Chloe Sullivan, and it is kind of fun to watch.

With the announcement of season 8 that occurred yesterday, the questions have already circulated around our forums on who si exactly going to return for the final outing of Smallville.
Well, today, TV Guide’s Mike Ausiello in his weekly spoiler-scoop blog has given us some news on that front. He says, “Everyone is expected to return for Season 8 except Michael Rosenbaum and Kristin Kreuk. Sources close to the show tell me that both actors have informed producers that they don’t intend to return as series regulars next season. However, they are open to doing limited engagements, and those details are being worked out as we speak.”
So this can definitely ease our minds a little bit about where season 8 could be headed in the future. However, nothing it’s official til it’s official.

The CW has released the official description for the upcoming Smallville episode, “Hero,” which is due to feature the return of Sam Jones III as Pete Ross, and is due to air on March 13.

The CW has announced its post-strike schedule today, and as such, has announced the schedule for Smallville’s return. Smallville will return April 17 with five new episodes.

The twelfth episode of the season, “Fracture” airs this Thursday at 8pm/7(ct) on the CW in your local areas.
Be sure NOT to miss this episode as we know from Smallville history, the Lex-centric episodes always tend to be the best. I have a feeling that we’ll see lots of things from Lex’s past that have shaped him to be the man he is today- - including his mother Lillian. Not only is it Lex-centric, but it also features the return of Laura Vandervoort as Kara Zor-El to the show. So it promises to be an exciting episode.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, The CW has signed Justin Hartley to a talent deal. Now, this could mean a Green Arrow spinoff is in the works, but we’re not counting our chickens, as he has filmed a couple of things for the CW already.
