guys u are doing ur best and all for free and thanks….you are awesome
Thank you so much for posting this.
I was not able to watch it at all during the live feed as it was in and out. (Not a problem at all. I know the internet in there was probably crappy and it was tough to get it to work.) Will you be posting the video?
Thanks SHOE, for all you guys do here.
@MJ I had that problem too, but when I was watching the twitter they very shortly (?) posted a link to an alternate stream. I think the video quality was not as good but the audio streamed perfectly which was all I needed so I caught the last half (or last third).
I would just like to say how amazing John Schneider is. He just came off like an incredibly decent, stand up, and appreciative guy. I’m so happy he’s coming back even if for just an ep (or two).
I just love how many familiar faces we’re potentially getting. I know people keep saying they want Lex back (and I do too), but I actually miss Lionel more as far as characters go. However, he’s less important to the overall superman story so I don’t see him really getting an opportunity to come back. Just I have so much love for John Glover. He did amazing things for the role. I thought it should be said that his presence is certainly missed.
What bits I did catch of the S10 stuff really got me excited for this last season.
Thanks alot guys… I hope to see more live viewing for the rest of it… take your time.. peace!
Hey SHoEligans, In the mere hours afterthe final Smallville Comic Con Panel (cry) I thought I would share my idea for the season 10 premiere. Okay, so we get the previously on, then we see Lois running up to the crow’s nest, Clark has a near death experience and sees Jonathan. Lois reaches the roof and recognizes the book of Rao and pulls it from the console. Jonathan leaves Clark, Clark’s eyes open, he pulls the dagger out, and in an epic moment he FLIES back up to the roof and we get “Somebody SAAAVE MEEE!” This literally just came to me, and now I got total Geek Wood. Thoughts SHoEligans? What do ya think and how would you like them to come back?
A thanks to all the SHoE braintrust who spent the weekend not only trying to have an awesome time but also keeping us well informed about the goings on at the Con. You didn’t have to do it but you did and for that I thank you.
And whats up with SHoE being the only folks who manage to get footage of the Season 10 promo? This is the second time you guys have managed to pull off that feat! You guys are video ninjas!
Now lets see how long it takes for some yahoo to re post the footage as their own.
Oh… and I think Kim created the next SHoE battle cry with the “OH SNAP! SNAP!”
Agreed, It kept freezing when I watched it, but watch it I did. Is the replay gonna be up soon?
found a seperate video of the season 10 promo(couldnt find it here so i searched youtube) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9XBzx3jchZ8 were you guys able to get the footage any better than that?
based on the trailer is the kid is the lexana baby from season 6, and is chloe really going ot be the next dr.fate or am i better off thinking that lionel(as it looks like they are bringing him back) is going ot put the helmet in.
@Phill Kryptonsite says it’s not the non existent Lexana baby, Cadmus Labs is returning trying to clone a new body for Lex. If you look at the trailer the redhead boy says of the chrome domes in tanks as his “Brothers”.
@tim couldnt hear what was said clearly over all the screaming
Just saw the trailer on YouTube and I have to say that I greatly enjoyed it. The recapping of the previous nine seasons was a nice move and helped to lead what was seen for what’s to come.
I’ll agree with what you said Tim as I believe that the “brothers” were likely clones for Lex and even the boy who said that somewhat resembles the kid from the 7th season who played a young Lex. That’ll probably lead to how they bring him back.
I beleve I mentioned in a comment for a previous entry when I said that Chloe will probably become the new Doctor Fate and that could be used as an excuse to have her leave for most of the season and from the trailer I believe that is what is going to happen. Of course I could just be jumping to conclusions but honestly that looks like the way they’re going with.
Perhaps one of the best moments that were seen in the trailer was at the end with Clark apparently FLYING. I don’t think it was one of those super leaps that had been done in the past but I won’t be all that surprised if they play it as so. Would still be disappointment if they did though.
Honestly, this trailer made me eager to see what’s planned for 10th season. With it being the final one it’ll be one that no Smallville fan will want to miss. September 24th couldn’t come any quicker.
@Anthony Pa. No no no, that can’t be. We all know from the comics Dr. Fate;s successor is Detective Chimp :) It would be a cool twist, though .
Thanks so much. It was the closest I could get to comic con.
The teaser was amazing! I thought we would get like one quick clip of Tom since they had just started filming but I was surprised at how much info was in the teaser. I jumped out of my chair when i saw the costume. It was sooooo unexpected.
I’m incredibly curious about Clark’s costume change. Brian Peterson said that in episode 2 Clark would change his costume. I doubt its the Superman outfit but he hinted at it being more of the traditional Superman colors as compared to The Blur costume. I cant wait for the premiere!
A couple of questions: I didn’t watch the panel live on U Stream this morning, so are the two vids I see on your guys UStream feed dated the 25th of this month are those the only ones you have? I just want to clarify this, I’m not upset. I would just like to know?
A couple of questions about the stuff for the tenth season who is looking over Kal-El while he is laying on the asphalt on the street is it Lois or Mercy? I saw a “Tweet” from Joe that they used the Superman Returns (which I love) suit at least the shirt part of the suit in the video, is this correct?
Lastly, I want to say thank you to the SHoE crew who went to San Diego this year. Really awesome stuff.
Derek called in podcast #150 Jonathan Kent’s “heaven” The Kent Farm not surprised by this at all.
I found this link to clear up any lingering questions for the tenth season:
http://www.eonline.com/uberblog/watch_with_kristin/b192134_smallville_stars_promise_comic-con.html
Granted it doesn’t answer every question people may have but it answered a lot of my questions.
@Woo, it’s Lois (and not Tess) laying on Clark’s chest in the Season 10 promo while he’s laying on the ground. It’s probably a homage to the Death of Superman story.
I thought the article on the E site was horribly biased and apparently I was not alone in that opinion as evidenced by how many General Smallville fans seemed annoyed by it. And I’m not just talking about “shipper” fans. Yes, there was some nice information in it which I appreciated. However, the article should have started out with the lead in about CLARK as he is the star of the show. I would also suggest that the interviewer refrains from making overall general statements about Smallville fandom as a whole and what everyone “loves” as I imagine the thousands of fans who watch this show because they love Clark as a character and just like watching his journey unfold as well as the thousands and thousands of Clois fans would probably take issue with her assertion that Chloe and Oliver were “everyone’s favorite lovebirds.” I’d sincerely appreciate it if the E blog could attempt to be objective when covering the show and remember that Clark Kent is the star of the show and should be the lead-in when you’re talking about the 10th freaking season of Smallville. Treating Tom Welling like an afterthought on his own freaking show is not appreciated by this fan. I’ll looking forward to the Shoe interviews because at least the Starkville House of El people know who the show is about. ::shrugs::
To the entire Starkville House of El crew: Thank you so much for your coverage of the Smallville Comic Con panel. It was deeply appreciated by those of us that were stuck at home. Thank you for taking the time to keep us informed so that we could all share in the joy of it together. I’ll look forward to your interviews with the cast and production team.
@MJ I can see your point about the E! article and I agree Tom should be given more credit I was just referring to the news about story elements and who is signed on for what looks like a jam packed season. I don’t know how the writers are going to be able to fit all what they plan to do in 22 eps. From what it sounds like this material could fill two seasons instead of one.
I also echo your statements MJ to say thank you to the entire Starkville House of El crew fantastic job keeping up us all in the loop that were not able to make to San Diego.
Let me tell you all that we got some really good stuff for the site that should be posted in the near future. Joe did a great job on the press line, and Kim and I had the chance to sit down with Brian, Kelly, Erica, Cassidy, and Justin. Aside from the fact that everyone was soo nice, the one thing I will tell you that i learned from them all is that A) they love the work that they do and are incredibly passionate about it & B) are extremely appreciative of the fans and are VERY aware of their love of Smallville.
Thanks guys! I can’t imagine how you contained your enthusiasm meeting Tom Welling, Erica Durance, and the rest of the cast. Can’t wait for more!
Thank you so much for the wonderful job you did during the Comic Con/Smallville panel :) SHoE team ROCKS!
(PS – Can’t wait for your interviews!)
Glad I got to meet Brian and Joe H in line before the panel. The panel was amazing. Thank you SHoE braintrust for recording he panel with a much better camera than I had and sharing it with everyone. I can’t wait for the interviews. Are you going to make the video of the panel available for download through the podcast? Is that legal?
P.S. I’m almost sorry for making so much noise in front of you (I was in the white sweatshirt and hat throwing my hands up, lol), but I couldn’t help myself. I didn’t get up to ask questions because I was in too much awe over looking at the cast of my favorite show right in front of me, but I did manage to get Don Whitehead, Holly Henderson, Al Septien, Julia Swift, and Drew Landis’ autographs. And I have pictures like I’m sure everyone else does.
I have to agree with the last few posters, you guys did a great job. Thank you so much for all you’ve done!
Thank you SHoE crew!!
Oh SNNNAP SNAP!
here is a better link for the season 10 trailer. it only shows from season 9 and 10 but thats all you really need.
http://vodpod.com/watch/4100642-smallville-comic-con-season-10-trailer
still hard to hear some things but better than the other link
Loved the clips for season 10…I just noticed that the clip of Smallville High has a banner that reads, “Smallville High Alumni.” Wonder if Clark is going to his high school reunion.
@TJ Thank you TJ I was wondering if the producers had just put like a stock video of Smallville High or if it was a new establishing of the high school I have to think if one is not going to bring back Lana Lang, Pete Ross, or Lex Luthor this needs to be a stand Chloe and Clark ep. Like Sarita mentioned in an earlier post it would be great to have Lois in there too that would be some good comedy. I have to ask my fellow iPod, Android, and Zune SHoEligans it has been confirmed that James Marsters will return as Brainiac in the 200th ep.?
This is just my opinion and I know it is way too early to speculate who will make it out of the final season alive but I have to think that Mercy will die if nothing else. Mostly likely by Waller and or Checkmate or by Lex or someone who works for Lex. Or by Darkseid bottom line is, I will be stunned if Mercy doesn’t die but Chloe does. Thoughts, my fellow iPod, Android, and Zune SHoEligans?
I just watched the promo that Joe Hummrich posted and I just loved his, “OHHHH MYYYYY GODDDDDD” reaction to the suit, Lionel, and the very last clip with Clark and the Daily Planet Globe. LOL Second only to, “OH SNNNNAAAAAAPPPPPP, SNAP!” by I believe Kim.
You guys are just awesome for putting the time and effort to do this for those of us that weren’t fortunate enough to be able to attend.
Oh my God. I can’t believe it! We’re going back to Smallville High! The banner outside of the school that they showed during the trailer says “Welcome Back Smallville Alumni” YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!
@Sarita Nice Catch! It would be their 5 year reunion, and even though the Torch set is gone, the actual school still exists. This would have to be pulled off perfectly for the masses to accept it. We would need Clark (duh), Chloe, Pete, as much as I hate to say it, Lana. Lois could be Clark’s date as she never finished her semester there. You could also try to bring back some Classic Meteor Freaks who were cured at Belle Reeve. Or, you could just bring back the good ones like the kid from Hereafter or the one from Blank. COOL!
Marstars is going to be Brainiac 5 and Pa Kent “for now” will be in three episodes per Kelly and Brian. How awesome is that?
The “Oh Snap” from Miss Jordan and the “Oh, my God!” from Mr. Hummerich is our Derek saying “Yes!” for this season’s Comic Con.
@Sarita I was just watching some DVD’s from Season One today and it was so jarring to see how much has changed from then to now. It’s interesting to look at how many people knew Clark’s secret back then and now really everyone in the cast knows now (or at least we think they do, in regards to Lois.) It’s so odd to see how much of Smallvlle the town we got in the first season and how little of Metropolis we got. And now it is almost a total 180. Really, think back the longest we saw the farm in the ninth season was really in “Kandor” and “Hostage.” I do hope we get some more Kent farm in the tenth season and more Lois possibly living in Metropolis. Reason being do we really need The Talon at all any longer? Especially if Chloe is going to be in every ep. Thoughts, my fellow iPod, Android, and Zune SHoEligans?
@ Woo, technically the Talon apartment is Lois’, but she always winds up on the couch unless Chloe isn’t there. (This is not a dig, just a fact.) But, yes, there is a whole community of us that think Lois needs a Metropolis apartment. They can redress the Talon set for all I care, but my girl needs to go green, srsly.
Or maybe now that Lois knows, Clark can just run her to work every morning, ducking into an alley before walking in. Precedence has shown that Clark’s superspeed does not mess up a woman’s hair.
Has anyone noticed this has been updated to the full panel?!?? It’s so awesome to see this!!! Thank you thank you thank you SHoE peeps.
@Braintrust THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!! I so wish I was there!!!!
Great work by the SHoE Braintrust. Thank you, so much for all your hard work. You didn’t have to do any of that and I love the fact that you did.
Mr. Tom Welling not only a very attractive man, but very funny as well. Looks like Kelly and Brian and the other writers are really trying to throw everything in “the chowder” in terms of material and I have said this on other posts. I don’t know how they are going to fit all this in twenty two eps. what they are planning to do.
Loved John S. comment about the fans near the end and same goes for Brian as well. Glad to know that they know we as Smallville fans are out there. I’m glad they mention us because especially all the hard work “The SHoE braintrust” it is great to be mentioned by the people who work on the series.
On a personal note, I think it is insane how many times I heard “bird chirping” on people’s Blackberry, Android, and iPhones from their respective twitter’s. The wi-fi in that room must have been off the charts busy.
Please, help me! I’m in Russia and i very like the Smallville!
I need the text of this conference!
Please, who can, write it in my mail!
simarhl_uj@mail.ru
@Woo..Although everyone always talks about Tom being shy and everything I always thought he had very sophisticated sence of humor as well!
And John S. is just such a great guy, also it seems he has such a great relationship with Tom.
Also it’s so great to see such enthusiasm for the show from Brian&Kelly and yes I also wonder just how they’re gonna fit all they want to in just one season..it’s gonna be one intense, exciting seaason that’s for sure!
Regarding what Natasha said about Clark’s superspeed not messing up a woman’s hair I also wondered about pulling G for an ordinary person when he accelerates into a superspeed..I mean it’s a G-force even a fighter jet pilot would have a hard time with..Lol
@James I love Tom’s comment to Geoff Johns and the one fan “Beetle’s? What are you talking about?” Lol. I also loved Welling’s comment at Rosenbaum being in the audience and knowing Rosenbaum’s sense of humor, and his love of Smallville I wouldn’t have doubted him in the audience for the panel as another stunning guest panelist. Would that have been awesome? Welling’s such an awesome guy with a great sense of humor.
