We could tell you all about the blackmail, extortion, drugs, and money that was offered to us*. Tales of deceit, bravery, loss, and victory. We could write all our hopes and dreams, our thanks and ‘piss-off’s’ here for you to read. Or you could click play, listen, and learn. Four years. 150 episodes. For the SHoEligans who have Android Smartphones, Sony PSP’s, Nintendo DSi’s Palm Pre’s, or RIM Blackberry phones who want to use said devices as a portable media player there is this software called “DoubleTwist” and you can sync any one of these devices at the same time and listen to podcasts such as Starkville House of El and sync your photos, videos, and music. All you need is a Windows or Mac computer and a USB cable that is compatible with your device. Here is the website:

http://www.doubletwist.com/dt/Home/Index.dt You have to set up an account with them but the software is free let me know if this worked well for you SHoEligans.

I realize I posted this on another post but I just wanted to make sure all SHoEligans in the SHoE Community got the message. And right now Derek’s like: “Yes, we got the message now shut up about this ‘Doubletwist’ horsecrap. Hey Edna ban this guy in the wheelchair his name is Woo…” Lol.

  2. Tim says:

Oh hells to the yeah! Even though I listen to the Big Honkin show, I haven’t had my Sterek fill of late.

@Woo, lol. They would never ban u, u are like the ringleader of SHoEligans. You are the Superman of the SHoE Comments JLA. MJ and Natasha are like Batman and Robin, lol. I’m modest, so I’ll just be the guy who says “Meanwhile, at the Haall of Justice!”

Great Podcast guys on the season 9 finale, Salvation…Loved the bit where you guys were talking about how great it would have been if Clark had given Zod the bird as he was falling off the Crows Nest. I was listening while I was at Barnes & Noble and was laughing my but off during that whole part as people around me were staring at me like whats wrong with this guy. LOL
Can’t wait for Sunday to roll around and definately can’t wait for the season 10 premiere.

I just finished listening to the podcast on my iPod Classic. Next to “Kandor” maybe the best podcast this season. On a personal note, no disrespect meant to Kelly, Brian, Cassidy, or Callum. I really wouldn’t have minded no interviews I just really wanted to hear what Steve and Derek thought about 9×22.

For a sec. there I thought this was the podcast for “Prey” because of how many times Derek sounded like Steve during this podcast and Steve sounded like Derek, lol. Mainly because of the breaking out into song. Loved Derek’s comment about “We don’t need no water” I busted up laughing to that waiting for the bus.

Best line of the podcast: Kal-El flipping off Zod whilst going down the crow’s nest. LOL. That would have been awesome.

@Tim Thank you so much for the kind words, sir. Even though I believe I’m more suited for Green Arrow because of my sense of humor.

Thoughts on the podcast fellow Android, Zune, and iPod SHoEligans?

  5. Woo says:

@TJ Don’t feel too awful because I am kind of lucky that no one was with me while I was listening to the podcast on my iPod Classic. I was all alone at the bus shelter and they are several times during the podcast especially during Derek’s idea of Kal-El shooting “the fickle finger” in the direction of Zod and a doubl no less. Derek brought up a good point and I want to bring up a new topic off of what Derek brought up. Favorite and least favorite ep. this season and also ranking of the seasons as far as best.

As far as ranking the seasons go, I hold the first season in a class in of itself even by the way the eps. were shot they look and feel different than seasons that came after it.

Ranking the seasons: 9,8,3,4,7, 2,5 and 6. 2 and 5 are really interchangeable for me. They had some great moments but also really awful moments. Lana’s childhood friend and Clana breaking up more times than they were eps. Great moments being Dr. Swann (of courseand “Vessel.” Is this this general opinion among all of us SHoEligans that the sixth season was the weakest?

Favorite eps in the ninth season: I think I have to go with Derek and say “Kandor” was probably my favorite ep. this season and of course “Absolute Justice” was awesome but that event really did stand by itself really in terms of story, sure Waller came from that story and Checkmate but really it was its own story. “Kandor” I loved for the same Derek did. I love eps. that have to do with “Man of Steel” mythos. And after Derek mentioned it “Metallo” was I think the strongest eps. all around that had to do with Smallville and had no JLA/JSA stuff and had no “Man of Steel” stuff to it and really did set the course for where we were going in the ninth season looking back.

I have to ask my fellow Zune, iPod, and Android SHoEligans something didn’t 9×01 and 9×22 remind you a little bit of 3×01 and 3×22? In the sense we are beginning a season long arc and by the end the ramifications of what happened in the premiere those come fall circle at the end of the season in the finale?

Great stuff guys. Thanks for all the hard work. Looking forward to Season 10!

First off I want to say that it’s unfortunate that your plans didn’t go as you hoped but even with all that I don’t think that episode 150 was a disappointment. Leaving it uncut was a good decision on your side.

There were plenty of moments that made me laugh, specifically talking about Clark flipping off Zod had me laughing to the point that tears were coming out of my eyes. Even picturing of that possibility happening makes me chuckle.

I’m with you Derek and Steve in saying that season 9 is up there as one of my favorites seasons. Also it helps to get me more eager to see what’s to come in the 10th season.

Favorite 9th season Episodes: Savior, Metallo, Kandor, Pandora, Checkmate, Sacrifice and Salvation

Least Favorite Episodes: Roulette and Escape

Again I appreciate with what you did with this episode. While I know that it could be asking too much but I hope that you’ll be able to do another one before season 10 starts where you guys talk about what’s said at the Smallville panel at Comic Con.

  8. Woo says:

@Anthony Pa Yeah, I doubt other than the interview with Bryan Q. Miller I doubt we will get many podcasts between now and the season opener. By the way, I forgot to mention how I am looking forward to that interview with Miller he wrote some of my favorite eps. in the eighth and ninth season. He wrote “Sacrifice” with Hartley and Walter Wang and he wrote “Bulletproof” and “Committed.” He is a guy I wouldn’t mind seeing writing the 200th ep. either.

I forgot to mention in my previous post my least favorite eps. I didn’t enjoy “Roulette” and I didn’t really like “Rabid” even though it was well directed. I didn’t enjoy the “28 Days Later” comes to Smallville aspect even though I loved on the podcast for “Rabid” the idea that the virus that created the zombies was one of the bases of Doomsday.

Derek mentioned this at the end of the podcast I can remember listening to Starkville House of El before the writers strike on my 80GB Microsoft Zune and Steve and Derek speculating that if it wasn’t for the writers strike the seventh season could have been it. There was a good possibility that it was going to be.

I also remember in the podcast for “Toxic” the guys’ thinking that the eighth season would have been it.

My point is, I echo Derek’s statement about it being “bittersweet” the series ending but in an odd way I’m kind of glad we know for sure, that the tenth season will be it. Reason being, I’m tired of speculating when the series is going to end. However, at the same time I probably would not have stayed with this podcast if it ended in the seventh season. Does that make sense fellow Zune, iPod, and Android SHoEligans?

I also forgot to mention in closing. I believe this is in my top ten SHoE podcasts as far as favorites go right up there with the podcasts: “Fortress of Baileytude” “Doomsday Redux” and the podcast for “Abyss/Bride.” Fantastic work. @Tim He was giving me credit earlier but I do very little compared to what “The trust” does. I just send information that I feel may be useful and or helpful to new listeners and or interesting news items or facts. I am not Kim Jordan, Derek Russell, William Goodman, Joe Hummerich, Graham Tracey, or Big Honkin’. So thank you guys I just mentioned along with my fellow comment posters that I converse with most on here. @Natasha (aka since1938) @Tim and @MJ Thank you guys.

  9. Ok, you guys (Steve and Derek) listed your favorite seasons in order. Here’s my list:
    Season Nine
Season Six (sorry guys, my first season and I love Justice)
    Season Four
    Season Five
    Season Seven
    Season One
    Season Two

Cool EP.!!I Just got in line for smallville panel @ Comic Con!!Keep up the good work guys!!

  11. pendragon says:

I think it was lovely to finally hear Steve and Derek’s thoughts on Salvation. As much as I enjoy interviews for a different perspective on the episode and additional details about the creative process of making the ep, sometimes I miss when we don’t just get to hear the play by play review and thoughts from a set of fellow fans (which is ultimately why I started listening to SHOE). So this was nice, and by no means, disappointing. I mean one of the best part of enjoying a show and being excited about what happens in an ep is hearing and being around people who can share that enthusiasm.

I’m going to try and take a stab at ordering the seasons. But it’s really difficult. I watched 1-4 all in sequence but stopped regularly viewing from 5-8 so it’s hard to not end up with a skewed perspective of those later seasons. But at the same time, having now watched a show that is far more “superman”, I no longer feel the earlier seasons measure up to me. They felt far more episodic and formulaic in comparison. But generally maybe something like: 9, 1, 4, 7, 3, 2, 5, 6. The only ones I’m sure of are 9 and 6.

Fav ep, outside of Salvation for S9? Probably Sacrifice. Or maybe something like Idol or Checkmate.

Least fav? Going with Roulette or Escape, definitely.

  12. Tim says:

Hey SHoEligans, In the mere hours before the final Smallville Comic Con Panel (cry) I thought I would share my idea for the season 10 premiere. Okay, so we get the previously on, then we see Lois running up to the crow’s nest, Clark has a near death experience and sees Jonathan. Lois reaches the roof and recognizes the book of Rao and pulls it from the console. Jonathan leaves Clark, Clark’s eyes open, he pulls the dagger out, and in an epic moment he FLIES back up to the roof and we get “Somebody SAAAVE MEEE!” This literally just came to me, and now I got total Geek Wood. Thoughts SHoEligans? What do ya think and how would you like them to come back?

  13. REDK39 says:

Well lines moving heading into the panel!!

  14. Superclerk says:

    Ah, the best laid plans…

I appreciate the work you guys did in trying to make the 150 a big event and even though it didn’t work out I though the episode and all the cool interviews that led up to it was really good. It’s always a good time to find a new SHoE downloading.

  15. Nol says:

Just finished the episode. Listening to Derek and Steve talk Smallville is like coming home.

Hilarious episode guys and congrats on 150 episodes. I can’t wait for more Smallville and SHoE!!

  16. Matt says:

    Funny stuff. Thanks guys.

  17. Susanna says:

Great episode, Derek sounded a bit drunk though…

  18. MJ says:

I would like to know when Derek is going to be recording his album of love ballads. Cause that was funny.

Seriously though guys, I appreciate you trying to get so many guest stars. It was a real treat to hear from Cassidy. I absolutely adore her. I can only speak for myself but many times as much as I love the guest stars I really tune into the podcast just to hear you guys analyze everything and make jokes. You guys do a great job all on your own so never feel like it’s not “enough” with special guests.

  19. Natasha says:

@Tim, which one is Batman (*points to self*) and which one is Robin?

And if I’m Robin, can I be Dick Grayson so I get to grow up to be Nightwing?

  20. Natasha says:

    Oh, and we’re ranking seasons?

    Hmm…
    9,1,8,4,3,2,5,7,6

I have to put 8 up there with 9 and 1 because those three seasons, more than any other, were ones where Clark was the most “Superman”. Even if Clark’s plans kept getting derailed and sabotaged by his so-called allies, they were still great plans and very Supermanly of him.

Also, if they’d combined the first half of season 6 with the second half of season 7, it would’ve been perfect.

And to Derek and Steve, as you can see, we listen to the podcast to hear your reviews. We may not always agree, but we’re always entertained. While we love the guest stars and greatly appreciate your hard work trying to get us a treat in the “big” episodes, we’re here for Sterek. So, do with that what you will.

  21. @Tim Hey can I be Green Lantern!

  22. C says:

Didn’t love it..Only saw 2mins of Chloe. What the heck is up with that?
Salvation needs more Saving by including more scenes of Chloe and Clark.
