@Natasha….who cares? There really isn’t any way that you can fanwank that.
Clark revealed himself to Lois through an aggressive and hot kiss in a dark alley. Actually, he was the aggressor on almost every kiss they shared this year.
Chloe learned Clark’s secret because Clark’s crazy girlfriend, Alicia (poor Alicia) went a bit nutso and revealed it to her without Clark’s knowledge or permission.
Clark wants Lois to know his secret and he’s openly stated on several occasions that he wants to be honest with her and share that side of himself with her. Before Chloe learned the truth, Clark never outright said that he wanted her to know. She learned his secret without his consent.
Lois was Clark’s serious girlfriend as of the second to last episode of season 9. They are two totally different situations. Who cares what a certain fanbase thinks? You know?
Pretty interesting discussion going on here…while I definitely feel that it would be a nice mirror (and great throwback) to Chloe finding out and not telling Clark right away, and I wouldn’t necessarily mind that happening with Lois, I’m not so sure that’s the way it will play out. Like many of you guys, I’d prefer a happy Season 10 Lois Lane sans-a mind wipe. But I also trust the writers to keep the Lois/Clark dynamic fresh and engaging, and after Clark revealing himself to her in “Salvation”, I truly can’t wait to see how it all plays out.
To sum up my thoughts, I feel (and hope) that Lois WILL know in Season 10-but I also am preparing myself for the fact that this might not happen right away in the premiere. The showrunners have done a fantastic job with the character of Lois, and of course, with Clark’s growth this past season. So I expect nothing less from Season 10!
New Topic: The Season 10 title has been revealed, so now we can officially say that 10×01 will be called “Lazarus.” Discuss!
OH MY GOD! I’M SO FREAKIN’ EXCITED I MAY JUST CRAP MY PANTS!
Episode 10.01- LAZARUS
It’s not just a title! It’s A MAJOR CLUE! Lazarus is a biblical figure who was resurrected by Jesus. We know that Cassidy will be returning and now we can be sure that Tess will be revived. It also gives us a clue as to what might happen to Clark. It’s quite likely that he will die (again) and be brought back to life and/or he may be reborn as a character. At the end of the season Clark said that he now KNEW what his purpose was. Clark may be going into the tenth season hell-bent on fulfilling his destiny. That along with the possibility of a heartbreaking Clark and Lois scene if Clark does die and return can only mean good things for us.
@ MJ, I know and I shouldn’t care. And the only reason even care a little bit is because they are so vocal about it and have the disrespectful gall to tell the actual showrunners what they think. I know that Brian, Kelly, and Tom know the difference between their real fans and the crazies, but hey, I like our show and just like if a friend was being called bad names, I take it personally, lol. So it’s really because I feel bad for what PSW might have to go through or hear from “fans” about it. I wouldn’t wish the crazies on anyone.
@Sarita Even though that is an awesome title of an ep. don’t get too attached to it. Just in the ninth season alone we had eps. moved and titles being changed consistently. But it wouldn’t surprise me, if that was the title because I mentioned in the “Salvation” post that Clark did the “Godspell” pose at the end of the ep. it wouldn’t surprise me that Clark would be “re-born.” I just hope the premiere in the tenth season wouldn’t be like an “Odyssey” type ep. Not saying “Odyssey” was an awful premiere but I hope this one is the one that “Odyssey” should have been. Opinions? Fellow Zune, iPod, and Android SHoEligans?
Some Smallville News: Congrats to the Notorious B.A.G he is engaged to Megan Fox http://www.eonline.com/uberblog/b186126_megan_fox_reengages_brian_austin_green.html
Hope to see him again as Metallo next season and I hope we get a better script, than “Upgrade.”
Though they have been engaged before, and it’s always on again off again, I wish them the best!
Some Smallville news: I just finished watching the pilot ep. of “Hot in Cleveland” and Smallville alum John Schneider played “Hank” an attractive looking plumber who went on a date with Valerie Bertinelli’s “Melanie” only to found out he is married… Yeah, I wonder how Martha feels about that sir. If you and Lionel were both still alive he’d be asking you for a fist pump and then he’d ask if he could have a go with Martha… Lol. BTW, why does Schneider get to make out with all the hotties? Seriously, though it’s great he has work and his comeback didn’t just end with Smallville. I hope Kelly and Brian work a Jonathan flashback in the finale.
New topic: Not to sound like one of the judges from “Project Runway” but let’s talk fashion!
Seriously one of the things that was discussed on the podcast for “Charade” was the desire for the silver sharpie House of El symbol with the black t-shirt and black trench coat to be put away. Now we SHoEligans saw in the teaser for “Salvation” that Martha did leave at least a t-shirt with the traditional (I dare say Superman Returns) looking House of El symbol. Now, some SHoEligans make call “horse crap” on this inkling that I have. Could Martha have just given him a blue t-shirt with the House of El symbol on it rather than a full costume with a bunch a little “S’” on it? Just to be clear, I believe she made him a full costume, I do. But all we see in the teaser for “Salvation” is the traditional (I dare say Superman Returns) looking House of El symbol. We SHoEligans never saw boots nor a cape.
So, what are your guys’ ideas about costumes for the tenth season? Now, I’m just discussing the majority of the season I’m not talking about 10×22 because I do feel we will see at least the full costume by then maybe not Kal-El in it, but we will at less see the fabric and the boots.
Since a lot of people didn’t enjoy the black trench coat (even though I did because it acted as a cape, kind of.) I would assume he would wear the traditional (I dare say Superman Returns) looking House of El symbol with the black pants he wears in the Home Video cover art above. Now, I wouldn’t mind the black trench coat over the traditional (I dare say Superman Returns) looking House of El symbol blue shirt. Although, I know a lot of my fellow SHoEligans wouldn’t enjoy seeing this.
I just want to make one thing clear to my fellow SHoEligans I want to see the full costume sure, but I don’t believe we will see that until 10×22.
What kind of garb would you like to see Kal-El in the tenth season? Other than the the traditional (I dare say Superman Returns) looking House of El symbol with the cape and boots. My fellow Zune, Android, and iPod SHoEligans thoughts, please?
THE suit should only be in the finale. He should wear this:
http://www.kryptonsite.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=94&pictureid=4542
@Tim This would work.
@Woolol,I didn’t make it, the fanartists @ kryptonsited did. This could also serve as Clark merging the current Blur suit with the one Martha gave him. It’s time to bring back the red and blue, I missed the windbreaker in season 9.
@Tim I didn’t think you did I was just commenting on that outfit possibly working for the tenth season. Idk, I loved the windbreaker during the we will just call them the “Miles and Al” years of Smallville and I loved Kal-El changing into them at the end of “Turbulence” in the phone booth in the eigth season. However, I don’t know if I want to see the blue jacket with the red shirt or the blue shirt with the red jacket used as a uniform again. If nothing else the black shirt with the silver House of El shield with the black trench coat showed us how far he as matured and how close he is to becoming “The Man of Tomorrow.”
@ Tim
eww. seriously?
@tim
if were not getting THE suit till the finale it better be THE suit…
@JacobI meant as a placeholder between THE suit and the punisher-blur suit
@Sarita Not as a a uniform, but maybe just casual ware when working on the farm, which wouldn’t be that long with his powers. There’s a certain nostalgia from the windbrealer and it feels weird that s9 was the only 1 not 2 have it
PS does any1 no if Clark still runs the farm while not working @ the planet, I doubt it would take him that long with his abilities, or does Ben Hubbard run things for him?
@Tim
It’s likely that Clark does still runs the farm but it’s just not shown on the show. Ben Hubbard is probably working on the back 40 that the Kent Farm owned. Having Hubbard appearing in the upcoming season would be something I’d like to see.
Speaking of the upcoming season, whatever heroes that hasn’t been on the show already would everyone like to see? Batman and Wonder Woman not included. Some of them for me would be:
1) Green Lantern (obvious choice)
2) The Question
3) The Huntress
4) Steel (having Shaquile O’Neal playing the character would be an added bonus)
5) Vixen
6) Blue Beetle
There might be others but I can’t think of them at the moment.
@Tim Well, I have always assumed when Clark return to The Planet at the end of “Metallo” he would continue running the farm.
Here is a topic of discussion: Would anyone like to see Clark get an apartment in Metropolis similar to the one he gets in “Lois & Clark” or in “Superman The Animated Series.” I don’t want him to move in with Lois just because like Lois said in “Persuasion” Clark is a traditional guy he wouldn’t want to move in with a woman until he marries her. But he did have Lana move in, so maybe that is not a strong argument. The point is, I personally wouldn’t want to see Clark leave the farm because the farm is really the only remnant of Smallville we have on the series. We barely see The Talon and we didn’t see the coffee house in Season Nine at all. What do my fellow Zune, Android, and iPod SHoEligans think should Clark get a nice apartment in Metropolis for the tenth season?
@Woo, Yes! I would love to see a Metropolis styled apartment maybe one that looked like the one from the animated series and Justice League.
@tim
ok maybe that could work, as a slow proggression to THE suit, i thought you wanted this to be THE suit for smallville…
@Jacob Nooo, THE suit should only be in the finale, this amalgamation would be good to show him returning to the red and blue. Who knows, maybe Lois finds the suit Martha sent in the finale, and tells Clark to put it on so she can see his butt in tights, lol…
@Woo Although I think it would be cool, the show wouldn’t be Smallville anymore, it would be Metropolis. Although… That would work if he returned to the farm in the finale.
@Tim I agree with you, if Kal-El gets an apartment in Metropolis it wouldn’t technically be Smallville any longer. However, like I mentioned in my previous post. How much of Smallville have we had in the ninth season? I think “Kandor” and “Hostage” was the most Kent farm we have gotten all season long. We didn’t see the coffeehouse portion of The Talon at all and what we see of the apartment is very little. Same with Casa de Luthor. So, it wouldn’t surprise me if Clark did move into a “Lois & Clark” and or “Superman The Animated Series” apartment.
Found this awesome website that makes fun of some of the older (and more ridiculous) Superman issues and covers. This is the biggest WTF?! I’ve come across….

In case any of you found out yet but the release date for the Smallville season 9 DVD set is apparently coming out on September 7th. Got the info from the Smallville wiki so take it for what it’s worth. Here’s the link:
http://smallville.wikia.com/wiki/Season_9_DVD
Apparently the extra features are a featurettes for Zod and Justice Society. It’s also confirmed that they’ll be commentaries for Idol (with Erica Durance) and Kandor (with Callum Blue) as well as unaired footage.
Would’ve been nice to have more extras but I’m not going to complain too much. Lastly, there seemingly going to be a box set for all nine seasons of Smallville coming out sometime in the future. A picture of what the box set looks like is also in the earlier link. Check it out if you’re interested.
@Sarita Really, that’s the biggest WTF? I don’t think so…http://img79.imageshack.us/img79/3287/superman.png
Sorry link didn’t work.
http://img79.imageshack.us/img79/3287/superman.png
@ Tim
WTF?! When did this happen?!
@Tim Even though I know technically this is a DC website, this comment would be better place for GOL. The cover reminds me of the issue when Peter accidentally snapped Gwen’s neck. That’s the first thing that popped into my mind.
@Woo lol, sorry, I don’t have a facebook and the GOL forums were shut down thanks to spam. I just posted it in reply to Sarita.
So fellow iPod, Zune, and Android SHoEligans, we’ve all posted “wishlists” for season 10, what plotlines do you think they should follow?
My hopes:
-If they do the New Gods stuff, that’s when you should throw in the JLA and finish it off by the midseason finale.
-That is because this season needs to be Clark embracing his destiny. Show him embracing all 3 parts of his identity: Clark Kent, Kal-El, and Superman
-More Daily Planet! Clark and Lois are still in the basement! Give them promotions! If we get more Perry, maybe bring back Cat Grant, introduce people like Ron Troupe and Steve Lombard.
-If Clark gives Lois the skinwalker bracelet, have Lois make a comment on how tacky it is, and Clark can give her a ring instead… Engagement ring?
-The finale. Last few minutes. I posted it @kryptonsite but I’ll post it here, cred goes to Big Honkin, who’s idea I’m piggybacking off:
Lois: What is a hero? When the people can’t help themselves, when we need a hero, we need someone to point to, someone to give us hope.
(A Plane is falling from the sky, much like Superman returns or the beginning of Salvation)
Clark: My father always taught me my powers a gift, my gift to share by protecting humanity.
(Cut to Tess and Lex standing in Luthorcorp Tower. Lex smiles as he sees the plane fall, it is obvious he caused this catastrophe. If we can’t get Rosenbaum to shave or wear baldcap, show a bald head from behind with Rosenbaum’s voiceover)
Lex: My father always taught me true power is achieved by controlling people. This is the only lesson I take from him. I will devote my life to achieving this goal.
Lionel: My greatest regret is never teaching my son compassion, and what it is to do good in this world.
(A red blue blur streaks through the sky, the plain is seeming to regain altitude, Lex has fury in his eyes, Tess is smiling, knowing it was Clark who saved the day)
Jonathan: My greatest joy is teaching my son that people matter, and that life is precious.
( Cut to Perry, Oliver, Chloe and Martha in the street. Citizens are all amazed with their mouths agap. Lana and Pete are married, like in the comics, and quote Daredevil, “Go get em Clark.” A small redheaded boy, the REAL Jimmy, takes his brothers camera and snaps a picture in amazement. Lex’s eyes dart from the plane to the street, furious at the crowds cheering, and Tess smirks behind him, clapping for the hero)
Lois: What is a hero? In the darkest times of this would, full of suffering, when all hope was lost, and we needed help. All we had to do was…
(Perry White slips the young Jimmy a $20 for his picture, and it hits the planet along with Lois’ story. Cut to Lois, Clark’s chair is spinning with the hat and glasses thing, and she smiles as she picks up the paper. We see the headline “Superman stuns Metropolis” along with Jimmy’s picture. Clark. in THE suit, flying and winking to the camera like the movies)
Lois: Look up in the sky.
(Fade to black)
Whew, that took longer than expected. I know that Woo has posted a cool idea of how Smallville should end, but what is all your dream ending SHoEligans? post ideas here!
@ Tim
I’m tearing up, dude! Although, I’d rather the last words of the series be from Clark.
Personally, I want the last scenes to also be of Clark’s friends and familylooking up in the sky at him while Lex watches from his window of the LuthorCorp towers. The only difference would be that before they show that we have a DP roof scene where Lois adn Clark are talking and Clark has to run off and catch the falling airplane (I mean, seriously, how much more Superman can you get?). Clois kiss, Clark says “I have to go”, Lois says “Go get ‘em, Superman!” and we see Clark turn around and rip open his shirt, revealing the outfit underneath.
P.S- I agree, MORE DAILY PLANET!
This is what I want for the end of Smallville. I wrote this all by myself, so if anyone has a problem with it, talk to me.
Theme from Superman (John Williams) plays as Superman is flying in the sky
Voices from Clark’s past start to talk
*Chloe, “Clark. I knew one day you would become the hero the world needs, and now you are the Man of Tomorrow.”
*Lois, “Some people look out for themselves and don’t care about what happens to others, but the Blur, this Man of Steel, cares about all. I just hope he realizes that he’s not invincible.”
*Jonathan, “Clark, son, I have always known you would become a man who would save humanity. I could never have wished for a better son, a better man.”
*Lex, “I always knew that there would one day be a man who could rival me; one day I will get your power and it will be mine to command. But today I’ll wait, because for now the world needs a Superman.”
*Jor-El, “I sent you to earth for a purpose Kal-El, and you are finally fulfilling your great destiny as the Last Son of Krypton and the Savior to your new world.”
*Lana, “Everyone has a purpose Clark, and yours is far greater than we could ever imagine. I’m glad you are now the hero your suppose to be.”
*Oliver, “When I first came to Metropolis I thought I was the only hero, but I realized you’re a bigger hero than I could ever dream to be. This isn’t the end Clark, it’s the beginning.”
*Chloe, “So whenever your falling, whenever your in trouble, whenever you loose hope all you need to do is look up in the sky.” Clark zooms past Perry’s window with Lois and Jimmy looking out of it. Clark flys by Lex’s office while he’s on the phone, and he dropps it looking out the window. Clark then flys above the Kent Farm as Martha is looking out the window with a picture of her, Clark, and Jonathan in her hand. Superman fly’s above the clouds and you see him in the full uniform.
@Michael J. Petty Tears welling up sir.
@Tim I do agree for sure more Daily Planet and a different Daily Planet set to tell the the audience they are not in the basement any longer.
Something we SHoEligans haven’t spoken enough about is the score in the ninth season Louis Febre kicked major butt this season music wise. I just watched the beginning of “Disciple” and I think his crowning achievement in the ninth season other than full ep. is the “Lois & Clark love theme” it rivals and I think it is better the “Lana & Clark” love theme we first heard in “Relic” even though I know it wasn’t Lana & Clark. What do my Android, Zune, and iPod SHoEligans feel about the score in the ninth season and maybe what was your favorite music in eps. mine was “Absolute Justice” (of course.) Also, “Kandor.”
@Woo In Escape during the “bedtime” scene is when it shines, since there is little dialogue, the love theme has more power behind it.
@Tim and my fellow Zune, iPod, and Android SHoEligans other than maybe the theme that opens up “Salvation” with the horns that the Clois love theme is probably the MVP of score in the ninth season?
Some Smallville News: Fellow iPod, Zune, and Android SHoEligans Happiest of Birthday’s to Louis Febre. Composer of Smallville’s score.
I think the Clois love theme is gorgeous. I loved watching it take shape over the course of the year. It has a couple different variants to it.
I loved the music during the Zombie hug in the rain at the end of “Rabid.” It’s a more intense version of the theme and it was used again during Clark’s “break up” with Lois as the Blur in “Charade.” Both very intense scenes and the music fits accordingly.
I liked the way it was used during their first kiss in “Crossfire.” I liked that it was quiet when Clark walked in and then slowly built up.
I liked the more heated use of the theme in love scene in “Pandora.” It was used again during the kiss in “Salvation” to show the intensity of the moment.
And yes, I loved the way it was used in “EScape” when Lois saw Clark trying to fix the bed for her.
It’s a gorgeous theme. Clana didn’t really have a theme. They had pop music. Most of the time very trendy songs. Honestly, I prefer the love theme. It’s more timeless and won’t go out of style. The few songs that HAVE been used for Clark and Lois over the years were very appropriate. “Happy Ending in “Facade, “Our Mystery” in “Devoted, ,”Fly” in “Lucy”, “Dreamer” in Infamous, “A Story of Us” in Charade were all very appropriate.
@MJ They used “Joe and Louise’s” love theme from “Relic” at times for Clana. But you’re right it wasn’t technically “their theme.” And “My Lanta” MJ you know songs from Smallville like Honkin’ does. Lol. As far as the Clois theme I even told Febre on his Facebook that that was in my opinion the best theme he has written with his time with Smallville. I have to agree with you MJ that the way they used the theme in “Crossfire” maybe the best “love” cliffhanger in Smallville’s history.
