We’ve heard Red K is making a return so maybe Martha can be there to help Clark out of that situation.

And I really think they should just make Perry White the Chief at the Planet. It took them 6 years to get him back, nows the time to set it up, even if he is purely an off-screen character for the duration of the series.

It is troubling, however, that the producers pulled out the stops here. Perhaps this is really a series finale?

It does not stun me that Marha Kent is returning to the series. I was always thinking in the back of my mind, that we would see Martha return around the last episode of the series. Not saying Smallville will end this season, because I don’t believe it will. But I always thought Martha would return because Clark would Skype call her or use his Palm Pre and ask her “Hey Mom, could you make me a suit?” As far as Michael McKean returning… I was wondering when we would see Mr. White again because we haven’t seen him in seven years. I doubt he will be Chief of The Daily Planet at this point but just having him there gives us hardcore Superman fans “geekwood” that the iconic pieces are coming closer and closer together. All and all great news.

This is great news.

I’ve been hoping to see both the Martha and Perry characters return to Smallville, even if it’s for one episode (that I know of).

Out of the two I’m looking more forward to Martha’s return since it’s something that shoudlv’e been done since mid season 7. That’s not to say I’m not eager to see McKean as well since I enjoyed his appearance in the 2nd season episode “Perry”.

Hopefully we’ll see them come back in future episodes if Smallville is given a season 10. I’m probably not the only ones who feel the same.

Too soon? I think the return of both Martha and Perry has been long overdue. Martha should have been in “Infamous” not just Clark talking to her on the phone. I’m thinking a goot time for Perry to have returned was maybe season 7. But better late then never. I think the next to come back should be Sam Lane.

HOLY CRAP!! I have been wishing for this since Clark started working at the Daily Planet with Lois!! I am SO ready!! If only they could introduce the real Jimmy Olsen in that same episode and it would be BEYOND PERFECT!! TOTALLY can’t wait for this episode now :)

I can’t wait for either appearance! I love that Perry will be back, I would have loved for it to be for multiple episodes. I want to see him, Lois and Clark at the Daily Planet.

As for Martha, I was overjoyed with her return. It’s been too long and I’ve missed her motherly presence on the show. I hope we get a great Martha/Clark talk as well.
