SHoE MP3: Episode 133 – “Roulette”

We’re cutting it a little close to time again this week due to Derek being under the weather, and even though you’ll find AAC limited due to the time crunch, the quality isn’t. Steve reigns in on the fifth episode of the season, featuring DC Comics villain Roulette on this weeks episode of ‘The Oliver Queen Show’. We’ve got lots of news and your emails to carry us through while Steve takes it solo, plus all kinds of spoilers for tonight’s episode of “Crossfire”, you won’t want to miss it.

I was thinking Steve was gonna go insane for good!
Must have been weird to be talking alone there, but it made for a hilarious, full of random, episode.

Too bad about the Steph thing not happening, would have been fun as well.

I also hope a link to his blog will be posted here, cause I find the premise of it rather interesting. Of course, Ill have to wait till the movie is one I know of, otherwise it wont make sense.

Wish youre fine now Derek, and hope nexts podcast wont take as long!

Even if it was just you Steve doing a solo episode, I still found this episode entertaining. One thing I did find amusing was you doing that little scene about oliver’s arrow possibily still on the Daily Planet’s globe. I couldn’t help but laugh throughout it.

What you said about the episode losing its sting with repeated viewing but still worth watching everyone once and a while. I mean, sometimes you just need to see the episodes Thirst and Noir for the hell of it.

Steve, you do an excellent solo job, great work

Steve, wonderful job on this episode even if you had to fly solo.

I whole heartedly agree with you on the overall assessment of the episode. It was enjoyable but in terms of ranking of the episodes for the season, for me it is at the bottom not only because of back-seat Clark had to take but also the writing of Clark and Lois felt more like something from last season or even earlier seasons than what we have been given this season. However I realize not every one is going to be a Metallo or a Rosetta (my absolute favorite SV episode). I am glad that Ollie is finally on the road to recovery because man, Ollie was making me depressed.

I totally cracked up over the Royal Family bit and the arrow in the DP’s globe. Really does make you think is the arrow still stuck in Borneo.

Also loved the bit about the SV producers hounding WB in bringing in Batman and Wonder Woman.

Can’t wait for Crossfire’s review, especially hearing your take on the rooftop/Superman Returns Blur save. Totally BA!!!!

Chloe is to the League as Charlie is to the “Angels.” Okay, it’s not a perfect analogy, but it seems like Chloe is pulling more strings than you’d expect. Maybe Chloe is Vito Corleone, Oliver is Sonny, and Clark is Michael. Okay, i’m gonna stop.

Chloe’s role in “Roulette” was way more intense than i was expecting. What’s with this show, giving me challenging portrayals of imperfect heros, instead of letting me be happy with my obvious good-guy/bad-guy distinctions! ;- )

    Great job as always, bud.
