I agree with Jill, but this promo is very similar to the promo for “Turbulence” in the eighth season. Do you really think in a season that may not be the last season, do you think in episode six, Kelly and Brian are going to have Kal-El and Lois’ first real kiss. It may be a dream sequence. Maybe I’m incorrect, but this just harkins back to the “Turbulence” promo where some people thought that that was going to be the first time we were going to see Kal-El fly for the first time and it be him and he is aware of it. Maybe I’m incorrect, but this is just the way I see it.
Woo, I think you are incorrect. But I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. I absolutely think it’s going to be a real kiss. In my opinion, it’s time. Lois and Clark have known each other for 5 years now. There was that brief tease after he kissed her dressed as the Green Arrow back in Season 6 where Lois admitted that “Greek Arrow Clark” could teach Ollie a thing or two and Clark looked momentarily dazed and turned on after the kiss. Clearly, there was some weird attraction there which led to that crazy Valentines Day episode where they almost had sex on Ollie’s couch. haha. It’s been almost a year since their almost kiss at Chloe and Jimmy’s wedding and the emotions between them have just continue to escalate. It’s time for a real kiss and dragging it out any further just isn’t realistic. That being said, I’m SURE that there will be bumps in the road with their relationship at least until the end of this season. But I think that the show is getting closer and closer to Superman and I think we will continue to see Clark becoming deeper and deeper in love with Lois. And honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if they have sex in the finale in real time to echo what happened in the future with the present version of Clark. But yeah, I think the kiss is real. And I think it looks hot. (Not that I expected anything less.)
Oh, I’m not saying I wouldn’t love to see a Clois kiss. But Smallville has the tendency to do this with their trailers, like in “Turbulence” when we think we are getting one thing and we don’t get it. I have to say this episode looks like it could be a very EPIC (to steal Derek’s word) episode.
Well, I never actually thought we were getting flight in Turbulance. I knew that the first time Clark flew it wasn’t going to be in a random episode where he was saving Tess of all people. They never had me fooled with that one. But Clark and Lois? Yes, I think it will be a real kiss and yes, I think it’s time. I’m ready for the love story to really move full steam ahead. We are getting closer and closer into Superman territory. I really like the Clark and Lois relationship in any medium but I particularly like it on Smallville. Steve put is beautifully in one of his recent podcasts: the characters of Clark Kent and Lois Lane are written in every medium to have a certain chemistry. And I think they’ve managed to up the anti on Smallville. I’m ready for Clark to stand up and be a man and go after the woman he wants!
This is kind of a random comment…..but I was just thinking I don’t think Clark has EVER been the aggressor in his relationships with women on this show unless he’s been under the influence of Red-K. Every other woman on the show who has wanted Clark has done the chasing. Usually he is the one returning a kiss….not starting it. Even when Clark was with Lana, she was always the person to push him towards a physical relationship or push for more closeness. I think that’s what I like the most about Clark and Lois. For once, Clark seems to grow a pair and actually be the aggressor for once in his life. I like that Lois brings that out in him.
