SHoE AAC: Episode 127 – Doomsday Redux
It’s one week til season nine, and SHoE delivers. Host of the 10th Wonder, Joe Hummrich, joins Steve Glosson for the latest in Smallville and Superman headlines, plus a full retrospect of the last eight years of Smallville as Joe details his two month journey of watching every single episode of Smallville and listening to the entire SHoE catalog. Steve, you have done a great job since Derek left and I think episode 127 was the best one since you took over. If Derek decides he’s going to stop podcasting forever then I think you should get Joe to be your new cohost.

I disagree with everything this podcast stands for, I mean seriously you guys have no Idea whats even going on in the world of, oh wait sorry I thought this was a reply to every other podcast for any other tv show on earth. This Podcast is amazing and Steve you are the Man although I do miss Derek and prolly will for the duration of this podcast. SHoE fills the voids when I am in need of something entertaining and informative. I look foward to this podcast more than just about anything becides the show itself. I honestly love you guys haha. This episode was really good, I got the vibe of good chemistry from you two, and really enjoyed it. Thanks

I third Scott and Derek’s comments. You guys did a kickbutt job on this episode. (If you are new to SHoE and a fan of Smallville or Superman and have either an Apple iPod or a Microsoft Zune and you are still deciding on whether or not to Subscribe to this podcast, this is the perfect episode for new listeners to join in and so Zune and iPod owners come on in) You have such a great chemistry. Joe Hemmerich and Steve made me for the first time since Derek’s departure feel comfortable with a new team on SHoE with that being said I believe Michael Bailey and Steve do a great job, but with Bailey not being able to watch week to week. This team feels right to carry on with what Derek, Tucker, Will, and Houston (who is that man again?) Now, I love Derek and he will always be Starkville House of El in my opinion but I will repeat this once more Hemmerich and Glosson this team, feels like the best team to succeed Russell and Glosson. I will say on a personal note I busted out laughing several times during this episode. Loved the score and “Save Me” in the background. This was probably the best non ShoE Smallville review episode next to Fortress of Baileytude. Hemmerich seriously think about joining Big Honkin’ for SHoE this season. Mole.

I will comment again just to say that was an outstanding podcast with tons of laughs and 2hrs just flew by in what seemed like seconds.
Hey Derek, you repeat yourself a lot, I do long reply’s. That’s fair I think. Joe seriously the SHoE listeners want you on more SHoE podcasts it seems like you need to humor them or I’ll inform Television Without Pity, that you think Chloe will die in the series finale. No, I wouldn’t do that to you. Last statement I want to make to the SHoEniverse if that hasn’t be coined yet, I want to take credit for that. Wow, a little shocked here. Well thank you all for the kind comments! I can’t thank you enough or tell you how happy I am that you enjoyed the episode. Steve makes it quite easy so he deserves all the credit. Steve’s an amazing guy and an amazing host.
Derek as you all know is the perfect host and an awesome guy. I personally would love a Derek and Steve reunion. I respect Derek’s decision yet I still fight every day to change it. Derek is top notch.
And Woo – Long live the Zune :) – I have both as well but I prefer the Zune. Nothing against the iPod people (I’m not about to start alienating more people)

Guys, I finished listening to this episode on the way to work this morning (an hour drive) I really appreciate all you are doing.
I found a little different take on some of the things you discussed but I wold not have wanted to listen to anything else.
I look forward to going through Season 9 with you and sharing your insights with my wife. We just finished buying and watching the first eight seasons and though I work every other Friday night I am DVRing all of Smallville.
I loved this episode of SHoE. Probably one of my favorites (next to 120: Uncut). I thought that Joe did a great job, hopefully he’ll be back for a future episode.
