SHoE AAC: Episode 126 – Kneel Before Zod
Michael Bailey returns to aid Steve in discussing one of the biggest villains from Superman’s rogue gallery, General Zod. Zod will be one of the main staples of season nine of Smallville, and the duo cover generally everything about the character you need to know before Callum Blue takes over the role September 25th. Plus there’s tons of news and laughs inside, you won’t want to miss!

Glad to see a new one before the Season Premiere. Great work, can’t wait to here thoughts about actual episodes again.
I liked this episode a lot, not as much as the “Fortress of Baileytude” episode, but it was a good episode nonetheless. Loved hearing more facts about Zod, I have to agree with Steve though, making Zod a more sympathetic kind of changes your view of the character. But at the same time, it is similar to Darth Sidious in Star Wars. He believes he is bringing peace to the galaxy by taking it over and him being the Lord of The Galaxy is going to make everything right. This is similar to Zod, he thinks fighting against the “moronic” Krypton counsel and over throwing them and creating a war and by the end of said war he becomes Lord of Krypton (which in his thinking is the only way Krypton can survive) and he sets everything right by telling his people the truth about Krypton’s destruction. All he is doing by beginning a war though, is destroying Krypton even faster than the planet itself. Which is why, Jor-El wants to stop him and thus the feud begins between Zod and his fellowers like Brainiac and his wife Faora against the House of El which you kind of see in Superman The Movie and Superman II and you certainly see it in Smallville. At least after hearing this episode on my iPhone 3G after hearing a little bit of Zod’s history. Zod seems like a man who like Sidious who believes everything he has done is for the safety of his people. On the other hand it all comes back to one thing though, for both characters absolute control and power.
derek i miss you so much.
its like having batman without superman.
its like when your reading detective comics its great it really is but then you get a superman crossover and its amazing.
