SHoE AAC: Episode 125 – Fortress of Baileytude
This week it’s our big 125th episode with special guest and friend of the show Michael Bailey from the Views From the Longbox podcast and the Superman Homepage podcast, Crisis to Crisis. Steve and Michael talk Comic-Con, what came out and what’s to come, before delving into an amazing conversation spanning 70+ years of the Man of Steel! You won’t want to miss this one.

Very very informative episode.
Really enjoyed this week’s episode. Love Smallville + Superman comparisons in any podcast. But especially in SHoE
i dont think hes not wearing the “other” suit because he lost “his faith in humanity”, hes trying to differenciate himself from the red blue blur
The symbol is distinctly Kryptonian in the Smallville U. The fact that he’s wearing it so prominently denotes embracing in a greater way than before THAT heritage. Sure he’s differentiating himself from the Red/Blue blur…but I think there’s a little more to it than that.
Michael really did an awesome job, this was probably the best episode of SHoE that didn’t involve an episode to review or something going on within the season. I was laughing so hard when I was listening to the episode on my iPod Classic while I was at Subway, people must have thought I was a lunatic. Michael Bailey you are a true Superman historian you should really write a historical anthology about Superman. And have you ever thought about being Steve’s co-host for SHoE, you guys have great chemistry. I enjoyed your guys’ idea about bringing WildCat into Justice Society. I loved him in Justice League Unlimited.
I was just re-listening to the episode on my computer, and I have to agree with Steve about “Clana” which I am a fan of… I will not lie. I know they will never be, unless in an “else world’s” version of Superman. But back to my original point. I have to say, the fifth season I enjoyed, but my biggest problem with the fifth season was Lana and Clark breaking up or seeming to break up like every three episodes. And for people that DESPISED “Clana” that didn’t help matters much and it got worse in the sixth season or at least I thought so.
