“Smallville” goes “Metropolis”?
A source alerted Ain’t It Cool News of some POSSIBLE promotional material for Smallville at Comic Con, that might change the future of the series if it’s true.
The description of the poster, reads like the artwork you see at the top of this text (photomanip courtesy of Allie) – which hints to a final end to the show, in the form of a made for TV movie.
If season nine is to wrap in May of 2010, this would air some seven months later at Christmas, wrapping up the show. Nothing has been confirmed or denied, but we’ll keep you updated as we look to Comic Con next month for some kind of an official announcement.

I think ever since the middle of Season Seven when I heard Derek and Steve first discussing on my old 80 GB Black Microsoft Zune about how the series should end, I was just thinking to myself… they have to do a long series finale. Whether it be in four parts because (I don’t think they could even wrap up the series in even a two part episode) or do a kick butt 2 hour TV movie. Now don’t misunderstand me I still want a full Season Nine, I just don’t want Smallville to get a “Lois & Clark” type Series Finale. And God rest and bless Michael Jackson.
