I loved hearing this pod cast. The TWoP posts were hillarious. I think that we ignore this little fact that the conspiracy about Chloe taking Lois’s name exists only because of the “Chlark” ship i.e., the fans who support romance between Clark and Chloe. That’s the reason for their Lois hatred and that’s the reason why they want Chloe to steal Lois’s life. It won’t really matter to them whether Chloe is or is not a journalist if she’s romantically linked to Clark.

Isn’t it nonsensical that they want Chloe to “honor” the very character they give hate names to and bash all the time. If Chloe is so great at journalism and if Lois is there only because of her “other assets” why do you want Chloe to take that name?

Like you said. It’s plain dumb and they’re bashing Erica, who is an awesome actress and who has made Lois the best Lois Lane ever for the only reason that Mack didn’t get to play the role Durance is playing. Petty!

Brief explanatory note: The “anvil” is usually used to describe the clunky, almost out of place references to future canon events. The idea is that it’s like an anvil dropping from the sky, breaking up the momentum of the scene and pulling the viewer out of the moment by screaming “HEY DID YOU KNOW HE’S GONNA BE SUPERMAN?!?”

Listening to the episode right now. And just wanted to toss this out, while I’m thinking of it: I used to be a Chloiser, pretty hardcore. Not *hatemail* hardcore, but still pretty adamant. I even called ED “Nois” in Season Five. But I put the blame of that fully on the writers/producers because her character development seemed so totally wrong at first. However, sometime near the middle of last season, and certainly this season, I’ve become a full-tilt fan of EDLois. “Ship”-wise, I’ve even switched from Team Chlark to Team Clois–but that may be more to keep the lovely Chloe to myself (cue the Daffy Duck cartoon voice, “Mine! Mine-mine!”). So if even I can be won over, there’s hope for anyone!

Okay, i’ll shut up and enjoy the rest of SHOE now.
