If we are to see this incredible love story between Clark and Lois..Honestly, it must begin now..Actually it should have happened like 4 seasons ago...Much to to the chagrin of my beloved Chloe.. Who i dearly love..and secretly harboured the hopes that the writers would wake up from their stupor, and follow through with making Chloe the Iconic Lois that we all,all adore and love from since season One!! What a disappointment!! Lana even as a secondary character in season 8.Still has more air time then Chloe a lead character! Go figure! Clana Needs to go to rest and soon..maybe in a water grave beneath Smallville..lol..However, i have been thinking that from since season 6 and still we are seeing no end in sight with this Clana drama! The bigger question is this..Why won't the writers let Clana die? Why are we still talking about Clana..For the love of God writers..Let Clana DIE!! Please..If not... But back when I first read the spoilers that there would be a season 8 Clana kiss I really doubted that it could possibly "work". I never dreamed I'd be THIS right. To end the episode on that kiss... my GOD what were they thinking? I agree completely with you, Clana is OVER and Clark needs to have already moved on, Lois can't be his second choice. I love Clark and Lana's relationship for what it is. It was sweet, it was cute, it was sexy, it was sad. It was beautiful. But it also was always NOT meant-to-be. That made me like the couple more, knowing that in the end they would NOT be together. And not being a fan of any of the Superman mythos (I only watch Smallville and have learned some mythos from Smallville fans online and podcasts and all) I thought Lana would actually die in "Reckoning" - and I really hoped she would. "Reckoning" is one of my favorite episodes of the series - it's really well done, we get to see some really romantic Clana scenes and some really sad and heartbreaking scenes... a bunch of them... lol... but I think they really should have let Clana go, at least with the breakup being real and final in that episode if not her dying for real, which I could have lived with. And then again in the season 6 finale. Having not read spoilers of any kind, I thought Lana was dead for sure. And since I was pretty tired of my beloved Clana already, I really wish she was. Instead they had the horrible season 7 Clana... which just hurt to see... lol... and now... ending "Bulletproof" with that kiss... I really can't forgive the Smallville writers for that. At least not right now. Rant over. Other than that I did love the episode, Clark/Tom was HOT in a police uniform, lol, and the main storyline was good and enjoyable and nice to see. I also agree with you on the fact that I hate that Lana is a bit too perfect.
