What Did You Think? What’s To Come?
November 20th has come and gone, and the blissful wedding of Jimmy and Chloe was anything but. Jimmy’s life hangs in the balance after the attack by Doomsday, Oliver and Clark are desperately searching for Chloe, while Lois battles her feelings for Clark after Lana’s return. And just who was that bald figure in the final seconds? Smallville doesn’t return for another 7 weeks, but we can give you a glimpse of what’s to come after the jump.
Say hello to the Legions of Super Heroes. Saturn Girl, Lightning Lad, and Cosmic Boy will be appearing in Episode 8×11 entitled “Legion” and written by DC Comics writer Geoff Johns.
But who is this character? You might have been wondering that after tonight’s trailer for season 8’s return. We believe that he is a Legion villain known as “The Persuader”. What involvment he will have with Clark, The Legion, Chloe and Doomsday we don’t know at this time. But it’s definitely a lot to look forward to when the series returns January 15th, 2008 on the CW!

Amazing, simply amazing. I wasn’t a huge Smallville fan until season six and got all the seasons on DVD and later on Blu-Ray Disc. I have to say this is the best/Superman season they have had. This was probably the best episode of Smallville I have seen since Descent. Bride had the elements of what could have been a Smallville film. Great to see Kristen Kruek back as Lana Lang great scene between her and Tom (in the loft), I wonder if she has a similar agenda to Oliver as far as payback to Lex or is she has a totally different plan. I have written this before, this possibly might been Allison Mack’s last season if it is, it looks like she will go out with a great send off. Also, loved The Lois and Clark scenes straight out of a romance story like The Notebook or the Superman comics. As far as the rest of the season goes and “Legion” goes, it must have something to do with Chloe and Doomsday. BTW Chloe’s eyes in the new converted Fortress sweet!!! I have said it once and I will say it again. I want a season nine but after what Kelly, Todd, and Brian have done this season how could they top season eight? I was very skeptical after Al and Miles left because I have always believed creators leave series, series doomed, no pun intended. But they won me over. Lastly, first live action Doomsday Legend wait for it dary!
How many times am I going to watch this episode again? Ooh boy, almost demands a few marathons of select episodes to get through to mid-January. This pulls together many episodes brilliantly and gives them a push forward. All Chloe fans who have gone too coo-coo before with Chlois ideas and her have to “share her brain” with the “big dumb alien” hopefully are now getting something more out of their favorite character. I am! Clark is really becoming a Hero in multiple levels, which I don’t believe I usually see anywhere else in the superman world: a hero emotionally (in helping Lois see love isn’t all that bad), level headed (when Jimmy can’t see straight), nostalgically charitable (when Chloe needed something borrowed), and so on. I guess this is how heroic Clark is when he doesn’t have to compartamentalize Kal from Clark.
Seeing the balded-headed Mr. Potato Head maid me realize about Lex and Legion that my theory is all wrong: he’s apparently not in the future, which would justify the Legion’s return, and possibly explain another actor playing Michael’s Rosenbaum’s amazing depiction of full-on-Lex. But maybe he’s watching something from archives, while in the future? The tech that had tapped into him looked a bit futuristic… oh well. How about that beautifully scarey look that the bloomsday-bride-Chloe had, ew anyone? Loved how Allison looked looked, don’t get me wrong. Freaked out how and what Chraniac is smiling about!
We shouldn’t worry about Jimmy too much, he’ll be ok, he’s important and really growing into a Jimmy that’s more than just the side-kick kid-window from the mid-20th century. It’s Lois I’m a bit sad for. I usually don’t care for wedding-day romance, because love is more than current-emotions that come and go. Yet she’s getting kicked in the gut emotionally and through it still has to fight for her cousin. “Why do these awful things keep happening to us? Around here!?” She’ll keep it together, she’s got Clark all hero in blue and black. She’s a fighter. I’m cheering for her. Somebody get a season 9 just for her! Let alone all the other great characterization and mythos development we are finally getting.
