Kristin Kreuk has posted on her Facebook account regarding her status with Smallville and some details about her place in season eight:
Hey Team…
So, I thought I would give those of you curious about Smallville a brief debrief. I am in Bangkok for a few more months. So, no shooting of the Ville for me. I will return for a undetermined, although small, number of episodes in season 8.
I am not really opening up the floor for lots of discussion, because it is not really the place for it. Obviously I have loved my time on the show, but I am equally as thrilled to move on to new endeavors. One of which is very dear to me, and that is GBD (Girls By Design). So thank you all for your really fabulous support and passion!!! I hope this clears up most of the questions…

I really hope you stay till the end of Season 8. You are my favourite character. Smallville is going to suck without you. PLEASE!!! You make Smallville worth watching. You can do what you like after Smallville is over. PLEASE!!! STAY!!

The on-camera chemistry Tom and you have is fantastic. I especially enjoyed the episodes where you went bad; it really showed your acting chops… just a shame they didn’t do more with your character during the last season. Your presence on the show will surely be missed and will never be replaced.

I really enjoy watching you and Tom on the show. i wish you stay for the rest of the season 8, it’s sad hearing you will not be in season 8. but you and Tom make good couple in it. i wish you and Tom end up marrying on the show, because watching all the season on the show, it seems like you and Tom should end up getting marry on the show to please your fans. and for sure i am not going to buy or watch the last season if you are not going to be in it. You and Tom should end up getting marry to end the season that will please the fans. anyways good luck in everything you do in the future hope you will find a cute boyfriend like Tom Welling, only if he didn’t get married you and him make good couples.
But you are one of the reasons I watch smallville. Smallville will have to come to an end, eventually. I enjoy going back and watching the first season. Your still hot!

Its cool to see you back in series 8, I hope you do stay to the end. I was a little gutted when you left because yourself, Tom, and Alison are like the main reason I watch the show. You guys have grown so much on the show together but you gotta do what your heart tells you right?! I know it sounds really ignorant but I’ve been genuinely shocked at the negative reviews you receive. People say the craziest things about a fictional character that you play and in the same token they love you, so I guess i’m just spreading the love lol. Anyways loving Smallville at the moment and to follow suit like most comments I’ve seen so far I’ll end this with a your hot (in a non-gay way). Peace x
