More Season 8 News!
With the announcement of season 8 that occurred yesterday, the questions have already circulated around our forums on who si exactly going to return for the final outing of Smallville.
Well, today, TV Guide’s Mike Ausiello in his weekly spoiler-scoop blog has given us some news on that front. He says, “Everyone is expected to return for Season 8 except Michael Rosenbaum and Kristin Kreuk. Sources close to the show tell me that both actors have informed producers that they don’t intend to return as series regulars next season. However, they are open to doing limited engagements, and those details are being worked out as we speak.”
So this can definitely ease our minds a little bit about where season 8 could be headed in the future. However, nothing it’s official til it’s official.

I am happy with this, I’m am always a Clana fan but obviously the direction with her has to change and she can’t stay with Clark so I think it will kinda of create more opportunities for Clark not Hero wise just romance and out of the house and not romantically tied down, I’m glad she is going to be a lesser presence. As for Michael Rosenbaum, he is and will always be to me the best Lex Luthor in media, and will be missed but he is and has been the villian for the last 7 years and he has not grown old in character to us yet but I think it would also be better for Clark and for the viewers to spread their wings beyond the Clark-Lex dynamic. More villains…perhaps? It’ll be interesting.
I’m sure as heck glad Lana isn’t going to be back for season 8 because IMO too much attention is given to that relationship, it should have been over either late season 5 or very early in 6.
