This Week on SHoE – Derek and Steve try to shake things up a little bit by trying a few technical tricks that will further be fixed in the coming weeks, plus our recap of “Wrath” and news surrounding the WGA strike that will inevitably affect Smallville’s seventh season and the upcoming timeline of SHoE – we’re sorry for the delay in this packed episode but emergencies happen sometimes; and the AAC will be available on Sunday. Witness the battle of the House of El in this awesome director’s cut from next week’s episode, “Blue”.

Be aware there are mild spoilers within as this again is one of the final scenes of the episode and has some new details we hadn’t heard about as of yet.

Tonight marks the possible beginning of the end for Smallville’s seventh season, as “Wrath” airs at 8pm/7ct on the CW.
Watch super powered Lana battle her ex-husband Lex for power, and her new lover Clark in a game of wits. I don’t know, it sounded good; also, wh’s living in that pesky canister?
This should be a pretty entertaining episode, and if the strike keeps up, we’ve only got 7 episodes left until the season finale in February so make sure not to miss the show between now and then to ensure that Smallville returns in the fall for a huge, final 8th season!

Kryptoniste has reported on a statement by Al and Miles regarding the recent strike from the Writer’s Guild and how it will affect Smallville.
” We were able to complete scripts for 15 episodes. Episode 15 is a cliffhanger. To the best of my knowledge, the studio plans to produce all of them. If there isn’t a quick resolution, then the season ends in February. It is our wish that this strike will be resolved quickly so that we can get back to doing what we love — writing.”

Sprint has released an exclusive clip from this week’s upcoming episode, “Wrath”.
The video has been posted on YouTube, and while it’s not great quality – it’s a great scene between Lex and Clark.
It appears to be one of the final scenes of the episode so beware of mild spoilers. Check out the video here.

As reported in Episode 66 of Starkville’s House of El, Smallville magazine artist Zachary Baldus has sent us his artwork alteation from last month’s short story “Hole” featured in the Titan magazine. This is a great pice of work and a huge laugh for all of us here and we really appreciate Zachary doing this.

After about the 400th email today and the hundreth phone call, I decided to make a post regarding what this writer’s strike means for the immediate future of Smallville.
At this time, Smallville has made no plans to make an official statement regarding the strike and future episodes on the CW – but that doesn’t mean Smallville is going unharmed by this. Thankfully my friends Jc and lencho01 have put a great article up on SVFan.com about the history of the strike, where it’s heading, and what it means for television and film. I’m really glad they did this so I can direct people to it, and also so I don’t have to try and explain it, again! The first real casualty of all this seems to be the NBC series “Heroes”, and that story of what happened was broken on our sister podcast, The 10th Wonder, courtesy of TV Guide.
