Just Kidding. That got your attention, didn’t it? Didn’t mean to alarm, just wanted to inform you all that over the hiatus and possible premature season finale of Smallville, SHoE isn’t going anywhere.
We’ll be back this Monday with an all new Episode 69 with special guest-host Jc from SVFan.com who does our hi-res screencaps for the AAC portion of the show. There’s only 1 episode of Smallville and 4 episodes of SHoE left in the new year so stick with us; we’ve got some great things lined up for the new year including 4 all-new super-secret interviews to be on the lookout for!
The strike is hitting the show hard - please remember the Pencils2MediaMoguls campaign going on right now; and if you need extra incentive for that - check out a plan made by Al and Miles to get you really excited; a call from Lex Luthor himself, Michael Rosenbaum - thanking you for your support. Read all about that here and we’ll see you this weekend!
The CW has posted a great 2 minute video displaying Laura Vandervoort (Kara) doing her stunts for flying scenes on Smallville.
We realize that because of the format of the CW’s website, a lot of times not everyone can watch videos via the site, so I’ve taken about 20 screenshots that you can view after the jump. Enjoy!
UPDATE: Download as a zip file here!
If you haven’t heard about it already, you can now purchase pencils to send to the owners of the 6 major conglomerates (Time Warner, GE, etc.) to make your voice heard to end the writer’s strike.
The money goes to the Union Solidarity Fund to help non-WGA members who have been affected by the strike and will continue to be as this drags on.
Smallville is only one of the productions that have been plagued by this strike, so send in your pencils now by going to this website and let’s end the strike!
As you know there is a stagehands strike in New York City, Michael (Smallville’s Perry White and Annette O’Toole’s husband) and the cast of the upcoming Broadway revival of Harold Pinter’s “The Homecoming” were supposed to do a sneak preview of the play on November 23rd. Now the cast will be performing a free special performance at Off-Broadway’s New World Stages on Sunday, November 25th.
Thanks to Karen for sending this in!
With the start of the winter hiatus and it being a holiday week, please keep in mind there will be no episode of Starkville’s House of El this weekend; as announced in Episode 68.
SHoE will return next week with a brand new episode to countdown the remaining days until “Gemini” airs.
Have a great weekend everyone!
Steve, Tim, and myself would like to wish each and everyone of you a Happy Thanksgiving today, and would like to remind all of you to have fun and be safe!
To our non-US residents, Happy Run-of-the-mill-Thursday! Don’t eat turkey!
